Kenyas new motor car sales market leader Toyota East Africa Limited has unveiled the global tenth generation Toyota Corolla model on Kenyan soil.The launch of the all new Toyota Corolla which is part of an ongoing global launch further signifies the firms confidence in the local market despite the recent spate of politically instigated violence.

Speaking during the launch of the new Toyota Corolla model which will be locally available in a choice of six options,Toyota East Africa managing director Mr.Tomonori Umehara said the motor firm wasd gearing up to launch a series of other vehicles to further confirm the firms confidence on local economy.

''At Toyota East Africa,we are confident that the local economy is set for a quick recovery and we shall continue playing our role as the tranporter of choice,''Umehara said.And added ''Indeed, the launch of this compact sedan is an affirmation of our commitment and confidence inm the East African economies.'' As a remarkable evolution of the Corolla concept the new model is contemporary embodiment of the ideals of toyota\s philosophy of "kaizen": the process of continuous improvement. Toyota boss Umehara while conducting media during the premier of the new car explained that it had been suitably refreshed and tropicalized for this market ahead of the launch. "Toyota's hallmark is to produce cars tailor-made for specific markets and the new Corolla has been refreshed with the frnt and rear fascias, getting a more sharper and contemporary styling along with other engines and safety modifications," He said. He added; "Toyta engineers and designers have outdone themselves to create a car that invites you in with class leading quality and spacious comfort.

The new Corolla will be locally available in a choice of 6 models with the revolutionary WTI engine featuring a new entrant of Auto-transmission gearbox which affords the driver significant fuel efficiency benefits.
